Artist Statement
Growing up fat, queer, and neurodivergent, there wasn’t a lot of representation of myself in the media, if any at all. While the topic of mental health is being talked about more, it seems to only include depression and anxiety and not other mental health conditions like ADHD and autism that can be truly disabling. On top of that, being queer and fat adds to the stigmas and mental health struggles that people like me deal with. I strive to bring representation to these communities through my work.
